JAI 127

Just Add Ink is having a colour challenge again....

Black, white and any colour....our choice. You would think that would be easy but the colour possibilities are endless and that all leads to hours of procrastination. HOURS!!!

Let me tell you I had to have more than one go at it.

My first attempt is actually the one I am entering...it combines orange (Peach Parfait) as the main colour with white and just the tiniest smidch of black. Not a huge fan of using black....try very hard to limit it's use in my projects just to inking.

This card is also my very first attempt at making a Scallop Circle Easel Card...thanks to Bronwyn Eastley for being such a major source of inspiration since I started making cards (about ten months ago). I'm pretty sure you know how much I love your work...I'm almost a stalker...hehehe.

After making this card, I did start to doubt myself a little......maybe there wasn't enough black. So out comes the basic black cardstock. Add a cute little black and white spotted DSP and a flower and...Voila!!!...card number two.

Sticking with the orange theme but this time it is Calypso Coral. Love this colour with black but love the other card more.

My favourite part of both cards is the sentiment from the Tea Shoppe Stamp Set. Love it!!!

There was a third attempt but I didn't even get halfway through that one before I decided I didn't like it. So it is just sitting unfinished on my desk...I might get around to finishing it one day....but today is not that day.

And now an unrelated card...since I was playing with the Tea Shoppe Stamp Set I thought I could whip up a little card just to see what the small tea cups looked like when inked with Stampin' Write Markers.

A huge part of the fun of stamping for me is the first time you put ink to a stamp...I have been known just to test stamps in all different colours simply to see what they look like. Does anyone else do this? Is it normal??? Or are the ink fumes getting to me?

Great job Kylie. I really like your use of Peach and Coral with the black and white. I know you are entering the Peach Easel card, which is lovely, but I really, really like the Coral flower one. Thanks for joining us at JAI this week.
